This is the vision we have for our world.
It is based on the equity principle, a principle of International Environmental Law, that prescribes a ‘fairness’ in the responsibility taken in solving the climate crisis and environmental degradation. In practice, APID would like to see a world in which developing communities receive the support they need in adapting to climate change, the platform they need to voice their challenges, and the tools they need to bring their cases to governments and organisations that would then take their responsibility in solving the climate and environmental crises.
Our role in achieving that vision is described in our mission statement:
We aim to connect vulnerable communities and environmental expert practitioners to collaborate with each other and develop legal advocacy in international climate change scenarios, involving NGOs, local governments, and international advisers.
